the little moments

It's the little moments that pass us by- those precious few minutes in every day that seem to mean nothing to us at the exact point in time, but in the course of a day, mean everything.

Life for us has been altered in such a profound way, it's impossible to sum it up in a word, sentence, or blog in general.  I think I always told myself that I wouldn't change who I was when I had a baby, but that was total crap.  Life has done a one-eighty and I can't wait to see whats around the corner and door number two.  Sure- it's tough.  Staying up for 6 hours during the night with a fussy baby only to find out in hour six that she just needed to be burped a different way, or how about the endless feedings a newborn requires--those are impossibly tough {really, just ask my tatas}, but they are all worth it.  They are a small piece of the day that come together and somehow weave a sense of completeness.

Today, I didn't get the master bath cleaned.  I didn't make it to the grocery store.  I didn't finish painting the kitchen.  I didn't clean up my office.

I did stare into the bluest eyes of a beautiful little girl.  I did drive around looking for a pharmacy that carried the medicine my baby needed while singing {horribly}.  I did dance around the living room with my little girl on my shoulder.

It's the little moments.

Liz seriously, she is beautiful. I'm not even saying that like I say it to everyone who has a baby. Seriously gorgeous. Also your post reminded me of this:
The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow
But children grow up as I’ve learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs; Dust go to sleep!
I’m rocking my baby and babies don’t keep.
